Trustees
- All charities are expected to have, and need, a
Board of Trustees which takes responsibility for the
governance of the charity. Reading Crossroads
are no exception, and are always on the look out for
people who have the business skills or knowledge to
help the scheme grow and remain sustainable. |
|
|
|
Trustees
generally meet on a monthly basis for 2-3 hours.
They also take responsibility for particular areas
of the work that Reading Crossroads carries out and
that may involve a little more time each month.
This work can be done by visits to the office or via
E-mail or the Internet. |
|
|
|
There are also
sub-committees that require additional members.
People who attend these do not necessarily become
full Board members as each sub-committee is headed
up by a Board Member. At present we have
sub-committees for Fundraising, Finance, Policies
and Procedures, and Quality Systems. These
sub-committees generally meet bi-monthly and the
Chairperson of each group then reports to the full
Board of trustees meeting. |
|
|
|
If you are
interested in finding out more about becoming a
Trustee, or a member of one of the sub-committees,
please contact the office and an information pack
will be sent to you. |
